The Story Behind Bold Embrace
Healing as a Bold Act of Remembering
Every survivor reaches this point:
What if healing isn’t about fixing what’s wrong, but remembering who we truly are?
Bold Embrace began with that question.
It grew from lived experience and decades of trauma work created for people who have outgrown coping and are ready for transformation.
Our method blends evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic awareness, ancestral work, and the wisdom of ceremony.
We believe healing is both sacred and practical grounded in neuroscience, yet open to mystery.
Here, the nervous system, the story, and the spirit all have a voice.
Where It All Began
For years, we worked inside systems that treated healing as an intellectual task to analyze, manage, and control.
But we kept meeting people who understood their trauma and still felt it vibrating in their bodies.
That realization changed everything.
We began exploring how therapy could move beyond the mind how movement, breath, ceremony, and ancestral awareness could live alongside clinical rigor.
From that exploration came The Bold Embrace Method: an invitation to say yes to your highest and most authentic self.
The Bold Embrace Method
Our work is supportive, evidence-based, and always client-led.
Safety is our foundation.
We integrate:
• EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, EFT, somatic and polyvagal approaches
• Mindfulness, yoga, spirituality, and breathwork
• Educational materials and ritual practices
• Fluence-trained Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Integrative Psychiatry Institute certification
• Four years of field study in Quintana Roo, Mexico exploring indigenous cosmologies and healing ceremonies
Through this synthesis of science and soul, we help clients uncover, own, and transform what has caused distress restoring connection to self, lineage, and purpose.
Healing isn’t a clinical event.
It’s a ceremony of remembering.
Meet the Practitioners
Lori Strolin, LICSW Founder & Creator of the Bold Embrace Method
I’ve spent more than twenty years in healthcare, hospice, and trauma work walking beside people at every threshold of life.
Those years taught me reverence for both the human body and the unseen.
When traditional therapy no longer felt like enough, I followed the pull toward integration bringing neuroscience together with spirituality, ceremony, and embodied awareness.
That search led me to Mexico, where I immersed myself in ritual and indigenous healing for four years.
Today, I bring that depth into every session:
clinical precision, soul-level listening, and a belief that transformation is always possible.
My goal isn’t to fix you it’s to help you remember yourself.
Life is a ceremony. Keep it sacred.
Kathleen Angco-Vieweg, LCSW Integrative Therapist & Educator
I joined Bold Embrace because I believe healing thrives where intellect and spirit meet.
My background spans medical social work, geriatric care, dementia support, and end-of-life counseling as well as years teaching social work and serving as a minister in my parish.
For me, therapy is a partnership built on curiosity and respect.
I help clients strengthen coping skills, deepen self-awareness, and reconnect with their inner resources blending psychological insight with spiritual grounding.
At Bold Embrace, I serve as both guide and witness, helping people remember their own wisdom one breath and one brave step at a time.
Our Shared Philosophy
We’re clinicians, teachers, and lifelong learners who have walked through trauma, grief, and transformation ourselves.
Our shared belief is simple: healing happens when courage meets compassion.
We honor every layer of your humanity clinical, ancestral, spiritual.
We move slowly, ethically, and with respect for the sacredness of your story.
This is not crisis care or a quick fix.
It’s deep, integrative work for those ready to reconnect with their bodies, reclaim their stories, and live with conscious presence.
Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you’ve always been.
If You Feel Called
If something inside you whispers that it’s time to move beyond survival to find steadiness, connection, and peace we’d be honored to walk that path with you.
Healing begins with one conversation.
Let’s start there.
